Brazilian Apples: the origin of good flavor.

  • The best apples have a strong color. They are firm and heavy relative to their volume.
  • Prefer apples with a smooth skin and check whether:
  • the fruit has been bumped;
  • the skin has cuts or defects;
  • the skin or pulp have stains;
  • Of average size, round and slightly conical, the Gala apple has a relatively streaked skin, with pale red streaks over a yellowish background. It is perfectly smooth, lustrous and very attractive.
  • Its pulp is cream colored, firm, crisp and juicy. The aroma is pleasant and striking, its flavor is sweet and its quality is excellent.
  • Of average size and round. The skin is smooth and lustrous, streaked in red and yellowish green.
  • The pulp is pale, firm and very juicy, crisp and sweet.
  • For your protection, always buy products that are duly labeled with brand seals and their source, enabling you to identify the type of product, its origin, its exporters and its importers.
  • Labels are a privileged means of communicating the properties of the product to the consumer, as well as its origin.
  • If you buy pre-packaged fruit, read the instructions and the product’s sell-by date carefully.
  • Apples should be handled with care, avoiding knocking or banging them, which can cause external stains and internal oxidation, damaging the appearance and quality of the fruit.
  • Before eating the apples, wash them carefully in running water. If necessary, wash the surface with a soft sponge, but never use detergents or bleaches.
  • Do not assume that pre-packaged fruit is ready for immediate consumption. Make sure the fruit has been well washed. Otherwise, wash it again.
  • Now it is ready. You can now enjoy the pleasure of eating a safe and delicious fruit.
  • If they are to be eaten soon, keep the apples at room temperature, in suitable fruit bowls, in well-aired, cool places, away from direct sunlight. If they are kept in this way, they will last as long as 7 days in good condition.
  • They can also be stored in the refrigerator for as much as a month, provided they are protected from direct contact with other fruit.
