Trade Fairs and Events Abroad


     The participation in world trade fairs and events provided for in the calendar of the Horizontal Promotion of Fruits and Fruit Products Program will be carried out concentrating on making the fruit segment international, and on the business potential of the event, through the attendance of exporting companies and business missions that introduce small and medium-sized to the export market. In addition, integrated activities are undertaken, including for those to yet to be trained to exhibit or even for farmers who wish to take advantage of the event for other purposes.

     See below what these activities are:

    • Visit to monitor the fairs (or events): explanations on the profile of the trade fair, the world market, the competition's strategies, ways of presenting, levels of quality of the products offered, ways of, and tools for, promoting.
    • Business meetings: commercial partnerships, technological and financial techniques for small Brazilian participants and business people from the target-countries where the fairs in question are held. It, also, includes the opportunity of taking part in business meetings with pre-established agendas, according to the methodology of the proved efficiency of the European Community's Alinvest Program.
    • Technological meetings and visits: visits to distribution depots and Technological Intelligence Centers to bring together producers of new technologies, and knowledge and solutions for the present system of fruit exporting.
    • Contacts and visits: to take advantage of the attendance of business people at the fairs in the Program, visits are offered to segments of the fruit chain, to key market, logistics, and infrastructure agents, to airports, health authorities and financial agents operating in the region. Related contacts can be scheduled as needs for the business community in attendance at the fairs in question arise.
